1s2p = 1 cell wired in parallel with another cell of the same capacity which results in twice the capacity of the 1s1p cell.
A lithium-polymer battery (LiPo) is a rechargeable battery that, in the case of true LiPo, uses solid polymer for the electrolyte and lithium for one of the electrodes.
Serial and Parallel Battery Configurations. Battery packs achieve the desired operating voltage by connecting several cells in series, with each cell adding to the total terminal voltage. Parallel connection attains higher capacity for increased current handling, as each cell adds to the total current handling.

This thread will be about 1s1p,2p,3p LiPo batteries with capacity's of 20mAh - 1800mAh. I use 4 different 1s configurations in my models from Aircraft to AFV's.
I used to design and build radio control products and also sold directly to local Hobby shops near me to test these products. One product that was quite successful was a Ni-mh battery charger\discharger\analyzer\cycler that helped win races with superior "Peak Charging" of 6 cell Ni-Mh racing packs used in 1/12 R\C carpet race track cars. I made a few products for this class R\C including ESC's.
I still have the prototype Ni-MH charger (dated 1986) and I still use it. It will charge\discharge\cycle any 1-8 cell pack. I will post some pictures of it asap in this thread.
I am retired now but still have a R\C electronic development shop as a hobby. My newest project is a li-poly analyzer\storage discharger.
I also will be talking about what I have learned over the years of Li-poly use in various areas of R\C...Aircraft\Boats\Cars and of corse AFV.
I have approximately 100+ Li-poly batteries in use at this time with another 100+ in the recycle bin. Unfortunately this number is too high due to improper storage voltage issues which I am finally addressing with this new device. The smaller the Li-poly, the more sensitive it is to storage voltage.
