Neal's Wheels

Post by Albert »

Does anyone know anything about this company? They have a Taigen latest version Sherman cheaper than any one else. In fact I've only seen one and that was on the Nitrotek site and I didn't have a great experience with them on my previous purchase. Any other recommendations would be welcome. Thanks.

Of course you did not have a good experience with "Nitrotek",
No one does which is why they are on the Forums blacklist,
I wish people joining us would at least read the menu before doing anything else because a lot of questions can be answered without the need to go further.
As to "Neals wheels" the only people with that name that I know of is a bicycle repair shop in west london.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hello,

please don't always buy from the cheapest,forgebear-tanks is the best you can do,if you are from mainland Europe,RC-tank.de is a very good source.

Both dealers have a very good customer service, and believe me, you need it when you see what comes to us from the direction of Asia.

I always thought only the Germans are so crazy about cheap is cool :poop:

with regards,Guido

I am well aware of Nitrotek thank you. I have posted on the black list forum. I'll try Forgebear, it's just that they don't advertise many for sale. Thank you Guido.

I have contacted Dave at Forgebear. He was as usual, helpful but they do not supply the full model. I'm not just going for the cheapest, I'm trying to find somebody who has the latest Sherman model for sale.

I'm greatful for the approved vendors section. The pain of disappointment is expensive!
Tamiya King Tiger (no options)
Taigen Full Metal T34 (winter)
Heng Long Challenger II (European camo')
Tamiya Tiger I full options (still in the box)

It's too bad Forgebear doesn't have the Sherman available. However, despite some advantages to the newest HengLong tanks, I think the Taigen/Torro (same thing) Sherman is all-around better for sound. None of the Taigen/Torro tanks is inexpensive, and certainly none is perfect, nor so accurate as the beautiful work I have seen done by RCTW participants, but I have been please with all of the Taigen/Torro as out-of-the-box fun.
You not that you are looking for the "latest Taigen Sherman Version." I see that a number of variations are available now (3 Jan. 2023), including both BB and IR and others either barrel recoil or barrel smoke.

I am guessing that you are in Truro, UK, not Truro, MA. (There is one; it's Truro, Massachusetts, US :) ). If the shipping doesn't end up being a problem (I know the UK is seeing some incredible shipping costs), here are three German firms from all of which I have had fine service, even with shipping here to the US:

https://heng-long-panzer.de/de/1-16-pan ... rman-m4a3/
https://www.rctank.de/US-SHERMAN_3
https://www.torro-shop.de/index.php?qs=Sherma&search=

Here's a US dealer I have used with great satisfaction, too. If shipping from Germany is prohibitively expensive, maybe from the US would be workable, despite the great distance.
