Inside a KV-1

Post by Afrikakorps »

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help with a project for a friend. He has a Henglong KV-1 bb which now has Taigen V3 electronics and wants me to fit a Taigen elevation/recoil unit in place of the bb. I’m just not sure where abouts the elevation/recoil unit screws to the underside of the top of the turret. So, I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the inside of a Taigen KV-1 turret ? I can’t find any on the internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers AK

I'm 99% sure that Taigen KV-1 used the same turret as Heng Long and it was sold only in BB version.

I agree with Kaczor: none of the KV-1s I have, HengLong or Taigen, is fitted with a recoil unit. Of course, fitting one in might be possible and not too difficult.

My KV-1E turret had a BB unit installed in it originally as it was a really old version of the KV-1E (FM transmitter), but I believe I've cut all the stand offs/mounting points out. I have pulled out all the Taigen recoil units I've had and replaced them with servo units so I'll probably not be of much help.
