Each Memorial Day and Veterans' Day I look at the triangle of neatly-folded flag that was draped over my father's coffin twenty-four years ago. He survived the South Pacific in WWII, but held it all inside, a burden of horror likely helping lead to his early death. I miss him, and I hope daily for peace worldwide.
