Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
The scary thing is them broadcasting all over Facebook regarding the release, but wanting to use WhatsApp for communication regarding pricing...
Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
Price is $150 per unit, MOC is 10 and I was quoted $000 per unit air mail or $40 by sea. I guess that mean we will see them for about $350 / £350 at our local dealers

Looks like he’s producing an M-60 too. ETA is late November for the Centurion and late December for the M-60. He also stated he plans for 3 different versions of the M-60 will be released. Also looks like some form of HL electronics and pricing will be on par with Heng long’s offerings.

Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
With some effort with details, change of electronics and gearbox it could be a nice model.

If Dave starts selling the Centurion I will definitely be buying the metal tracked version.
I am loath to spend my hard earned on products from the EU if there is a UK Vendor.

That M60's details are severely lacking.

Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
My understanding from RC Tank Universe is that the maker is using (With permission) Heng Longs unwanted projects so the detail or lack of it on a particular Tank would probably reflect how far Heng Long had advanced before putting it on the back burner.
Hopefully if the sales warrant it aftermarket spares and upgrades will help with adding missing detail

Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
They will bring three versions:
Re: Tongde Centurion Mk 5 Emerges
The second pic looks more like an M48 turret and the best looking turret of the bunch IMO for this particular tank. I guess if the thing takes off, maybe someone will release a Starship turret for it.
I won't be an early adopter for this one. Personally I'm going to wait and see what happens with it. My time is worth something and frankly the amount of time to correct all the crappy details on this is currently not worth it for me. I would rather buy the DKLM version at this point.

I think the 2nd is supposed to be the intial M60 and the rest are A1 and/or A3.
I'm hoping that these are just the early test shots and they will add more detail later to the final tooling
