Update on Windows 7 in Europe

Post by bowlman »

The Windows 7 team blog has posted an update on Windows 7 in Europe. Folks in Europe have another week to get in on a deal to get a full version of Windows 7 at the same price as an "upgrade" version.

I can now tell you of several more countries that will have a chance to take advantage of this great deal: the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and Sweden. This will also be a limited offer, but is just one more way that our customers can save on Windows 7.

Something you guy's mite like to look into i picked up 2 upgrade packages of windows 7 here in the States for $50.00 bucks each .

Can someone tell me what Windows 7 does that Vista doesn't? I have had Vista Home Premium for a few years and it is still being constantly upgraded with automatic downloads. I still reckon XP was the most stable and fastest platform.

"if it aint broke don't fix it", so I'll stick with XP until I have to change, it's reasonably safe and stable. I only gave up DOS cos I had to  :P. If you don't have to change and especially if there's no real benefit keep what you have cos new operating systems are simply cash earners, how else can Microsoft continue to make it's money.
