T-34/85 Factory No.183 from Trumpeter static kit

Post by Shotek »

Hi everyone,
as promised, I am uploading the first part of the conversion to RC model from the Trumpeter static kit.

Here is the modification and strengthening of the lower hull.

Shotek, the photos confirm exactly what I suspected: you are a master builder! Are you a machinist professionally, or is machining just part of your hobby?

I think your 1/16 T-34/85 will be indestructible and yours will be an exciting build to watch. BRAVO!

Thanks guys for the feedback and complimentary comments!

I am definitely not a professional machinist, I earn a living in a completely different profession.

But even as a small boy I spent a lot of time in my father's workshop creating different things and learning to use different tools. How many scraps have I made and spoiled material for throwing away.. :haha: :/

And I still enjoy it today. It's relaxing for me, creating something with my hands.
Except of usual tools as stand drill press and such I only have a small, cheap lathe at my disposal. But despite various limitations, especially regarding the size of the parts, it is usually enough for modeling and helps a lot..
