Would have posted this under electronics but doesn't allow me for some reason.
I found a ESKY ET4 transmitter 4 channel 2.4 ghz meant for helicopters at a boot sale and was wondering if i could use it to control a tank. I would obviously need a receiver which didn't come with it and servos to operate the tank controls. I assume i could operate a turret as well, not sure my limits to control a RC tank with this 4 channel transmitter. So to get it working would i need to match the transmitter to reviver model and manufacture make, to operate or will it be compatible to any 2.4 ghz receiver. Would i be able to use a mini receiver of the same 2.4 ghz.
Your thoughts please.

Re: RC transmitter converting
Can be done! Indeed, RTR Taigen models provide a 6 channel standard RC receiver interface on their more recent MFUs. Failing that, you can use a 3rd party MFU or, as you suggest, add your own servos. You may struggle a bit with 4 channels and possibly sound down that route. I'm sure there'll be help here to get you through any problems....but solving problems can add expense
