Thanks Jhamm,

Those look very doable and have a more scale appearance.

Is this for the Taigen/Heng Long plastic/abs hull or Taigen's metal hull?
It is important to know because just a simple sawing off of the faux tensioner on the outside of the Plastic hull makes it easy peasy fitting a metal tensioner,
Apropos nothing at all there are 2 different track tensioners, one is a sturdy variant and one is a weedy variant,
The Asiatam tensioner is weedy and second rate,
The sturdy one is usually sold by www.rctank.de but is out of stock.
Taigen's metal hull needs more work including a special order long drill bit to allow the tensioner to go all the way through plus you will need to cut off the projecting metal stub on the hulls side, this will allow the tensioner to have space between the hull and the idler,
You will also have to tap a thread into the drilled out section to screw the tensioner into place,
The Taigen metal hull is a disaster and to make it work means you will be burdened with a lot of extra work.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hi Jarndice,

I'm using the HL lower , I have a Taigen metal also but converting it to a Jagdpanzer lower was way too complex if not down right impossible!

Do I understand your saying the Asistam is weak? It looks to be a sturdy and certainly more scale in appearance than the one offered by RC Tank De.

I don't doubt what you say as it sounds like you have firsthand experience with both, I'm still undecided.

If you can get hold of the www.rctank.de Track tensioner it would certainly be the way I would go.
The Asiatam variant will do the job but it really is the puny one of the two although it has one advantage in that it is available :haha:
