I own a Taranis Q X7 and it is a pretty good radio. I've got it setup to run my Tamiya Sherman, Tamiya KV-2, TCB based Hooben ZTZ-99A, and my TCB based HL Type98. The learning curve can be a little steep on OpenTX, but a lot of us have these radios so don't be afraid to ask about stuff. You will want to update the firmware on the radio and your receivers when you get it. I just went through that whole process. I updated it all because I bought new receivers and couldn't get them to bind. As it turned out the firmware update took care of the issues.

This was one of the better tutorials I found about how to do it: https://oscarliang.com/flash-opentx-firmware-taranis/
