Driving my beloved Tiger 1 about and suddenly all came to a grinding halt. One of my road wheel screws backed out enough to dislodge it. Got it fixed but it sure does get your attention quickly!
Jimster!
That would have had the crew using colorful language for sure as they removed a couple of outer wheels to get to it and see if it was suitable to reinstall.

File a small flat on the axle and use PVA glue as a thread lock.
The flat will allow more area for the screw to land on & PVA is not as devastating as thread lock is long term
The grub screws/set screws that hold the axle are pointed so take Hermans advice and file a flat on the axle and spend a very few pennies on some flat based grub screws/set screws (Mine are 2mm longer than standard) this way they will get a better grip on the axle.
When I first started with this hobby I was so disappointed with the maintenance and breakage. Then a fellow rc tanker told me, ""A real tank has problems. Get used to it." Always good to see the fixes as I know my 7 yo continues to road test them. I found the .50 in the diorama.
