Jagdpanthers are fun whether displayed as a Shelf Queen or Runner. A couple more hours worth of work done. Pics include one I had forgotten on the Sherman, the external Fire Extinguisher handle. The Jagdpanther Build detail portion is starting off with a cleanup of the HL Upper, some putty and the installation of brass Bow MG and rework of the headlight.

I have that Admiral battery and it really performs well for such a small unit.

Jimster!
Thanks for looking in. I got the first battery to replace the LiPo that came with the Mato Sherman. Same great response and much safer to use than the LiPo ( despite it's built in alarm, etc ) The second one was just to power the Jagdpanther and I am really pleased with it. Holds a charge better than the NiMh and better response from the features of the tank. Newer times, better Tech.

Painless

Time became available to work on the Jagdpanther while the Spouse did some online Streaming today. I worked on the rear deck lightly, sanding the putty spots on the upper and reversing the direction of the lifting hooks ( that HL and Taigen cannot figure out ) After that, I went up front to finish the head light detail and take a look at the barrel and mantlet. Pleased with the head light detail and the mantlet but I could not break the technologically advanced molecular bond that HL pulled off ( ha ha ! ) on that plastic muzzle brake and aluminum barrel. I didn't want to ruin the barrel so the existing brake got a detail job as well. It will look good under paint.

Your replacing the bow machine gun and the "frog eye" light are certainly improvements. I wish there were some ready source of the correct headlight. I would think someone could cast a bazillion of those and sell them.

Herr Dr.,
Hello again! Thank you for following this Build. I agree about the corrected scheinwerfer. If only to save modeling time. They are available in Germany still for anyone who has the Tamiya cover and does not mind paying the Shipping Dues. Both the Mantlet housing and the Muzzle Brake ring have received further filing and sanding and now are much improved. The ring was a necessity since the installed Brake was of the BB variety and the opening was way too large for scale. I had time to work on the rear deck this afternoon and will post more pics in a couple of days.
regards,
Painless

Another couple of days and another round of Build Pics. Progress is steady on the Jagdpanther and I got the last physical piece of detail for the Sherman today. No Time for pics of that tonight but I will add it to the next batch.
