AN OLD KIRIN KUBELWAGON......

Post by HERMAN BIX »

G'day folks, was lucky enough to get an old Kirin Kubelwagon today.
Its been started so needs a little bit of cleaning up, but its all there.
It looks way too hard to make RC so will be a tidy scene-setter for my other models.
Only paid 34 Quid for it(AUD$60) so not a big investment.
While I would like an Rc one, its not worth the total outlay for me with postage and exchange rate against me :/
I might finish it off after this StuG build is done.

Great bargain and it looks to be highly detailed. I love Kubelwagens.

I got a same size but more functions ESC from Banggood to replace the one provided for my Will/Cath Kubel and using a small LiPo found enough space for everything including working Headlights as well as a micro speaker (Yet to be hooked up).
The biggest sacrifice to making a Kubel R/C is you pretty much have to do without the faux engine.
The detailed VW engine in the Tamiya kit sits in the box assembled and painted with nowhere to go :(
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
