Re: Early Leopard 1
Great looking ! How did you set up the Turn rotation and barrel elevation if you did so? Also what type of material did you replace treplace the black rubber with between between the mantlet and the turret?

Hello,
take a look at https://www.der-emma-laden.de/deutsch/leopard-1/
There you see the turret, rotation unit and recoil-unit.
Elevation is done by a servo, also the flaps of the rangefinder.
The tarpaulin between the turret and the mantle is a piece of linen.

Great looking Leo. I found a large shotgun cleaning patch that I'm making the tarpaulin out of on the IS-7 mantlet.jhamm wrote:Hello,

Thanks JHamm for posting this. I got my 2A7 kit from HPK shortly before he discontinued. Glad to see that some other shop now offers those kits again.
Your Leopard I looks fantastic, do you hae a video of it as well?

That is fricken awesome! I can’t believe these are still being sold new in the box. I just got a remote control version off eBay. So I may be bothering you about the Beier settings soon. Did you buy metal tracks for it? The tracks look like they are going to be a pain to assemble, I’m debating buying the metal tracks.

They are heavy, very heavy and make up about a third of the total weight.
