I'm thinking of getting a Heng Long Jagdpanther upgraded with metal drive wheels, idler wheels, track, and steel gearbox. Are metal road wheels worth the investment? If this was done, would investing in a taigen metal lower hull be a good idea too?
Thanks.
Carl

I'd always go the Taigen lower all day long.

The trouble with putting all the metal upgrades on the larger Heng Long's, it's like putting lipstick on a pig.
The forces needed to drive the extra load, need a more stable foundation.
A Taigen chassis is the way to go

The panther/Jagdpanther is a slightly special case, the stock wheels are inaccurate with an odd grove in, metal ones do get rid of this.
On principal however I’d usually go for a taigen metal lower first. Ultimately if you set off down the upgrade route you end up with a taigen mostly metal tank but end up spending a whole bunch more, I guess that’s the trade off with upgrading incrementally.
