While shopping for some mould release spray I came across some aluminium powder and wondered, what if I made some castings with this in for those who like metal effect and like to add paint chips?

Your thoughts please.

The powder claims to give the mix a more metal look and feel whilst adding to the weight and strength of the casting

Do you know if this Haya representation is more dimensionally accurate than the Vandra offering?

Mr gunner I can’t really say as I haven’t seen the vandra kits, I have been told by people that have both that the haya version at the time was the better version, but it was never really a kit, from what I under stand it was more of a plug and play conversion.

I have gone through the moulds made a few parts now and so far I haven’t found anything that doesn’t look right, on the grant at least

Well there is something I have noticed in that photo, mine is completely different, mine has the hatch at the front vandra has the vision port, after some research I found the lee with just the port but all grants have the hatch that I can see

More photos, the grant turret didn’t go so well because the mould wasn’t level, but otherwise it’s ok

Thanks lads

I asked because Louis found many dimensional mistakes with the Vandra kit.

Yes. At least in comparison with wonderful @lmcq11 build.
