Hello Everyone from Florida USA

Post by Armor_Group_South »

Hello everyone, some of you on this forum know who I am.....I finally made it over here! For those that do not know me, my name is Dan Noel and I run the RC Tank club here on the east coast of Florida and the FB group called "Armor Group South". I've had it with FB and have decided to go back to the hobby forums, which I've always have said are much better for keeping track of projects, tech tips, etc. Everything just gets lost in the shuffle on FB. Anyways.....glad to be here, looking forward to a fresh perspective. 8)

Barry
Thank You, I'll do a post on the build, although I've lost some pics in the process. I started out with a Torro metal hull, Taigen gearboxes, Mato tracks, Resin cast A1 upper, Taigen T23 turret and is currently running Taigen V3 electronics. Took a lot of cutting, grinding and fitting to to the conversion, but well worth it!

Thank You! Unfortunately I got sucked into FB about 6 years ago as some of my other hobby forums were starting to die off. People really love the instant gratification they get on FB I guess....amazing how many people can't seem to live without it either.

Welcome aboard Dan! These forums are filled with great builds and lots of resources. I myself need to update on a few of my projects. Looking forward to seeing your posts and builds here. Also nice to see another Yankee here (sarcasm)

Good Morning and Welcome!
Great build there on 'In The Mood'.
I built one yrs ago using Mato's 1st Sherman, the old M4A1 76mm WS. Required a different barrel, upgraded Mato electronics ( for some reason, I wanted to keep the BB cannon ) and a Detail Build. Turned out very well for the day. Better options available now for sure. Looking forward to your Build Thread and more Pics of that beautiful Sherman.
regards,
Painless

P.S. A pic from the old thread now that I'm home

Welcome... most members of my Militaria forums prefer FB, it's a shame as it's useless for keeping track of info like you say... :(

Welcome, Dan. I think you'll find it easier to get and maintain, a hobby focus here. I have a FB account, but my only gratification is deleting all the unwanted messages/prompts I get daily, telling me what friends, and acquaintances are doing. :/ It's a bit of a yawn, to be honest.
Pretty smart Sherman, by the way.
