I've only had time to do the initial set up and a sample print but it's looking very good so far just using the default settings.

Re: New printer arrived
What does the resin for this unit cost over there?
A Commander has to make vital decision on incomplete information in a matter of seconds, and afterwards the experts can sit down at leisure, with all the facts before them, and argue about what he might, could or should have done.- Sir William Slim

Good lord! What is that Heath Robinson looking contraption in the first picture
?

Re: New printer arrived
My two printers use filament rather than resin.X82d Pathfinder wrote:What does the resin for this unit cost over there?
Filament over here runs about £16 and up for 1Kg of PLA, Abs similar sort of price range.
I've not really looked into other filaments but the more specialist ones will cost considerably more.
I've no idea on resin prices.

It was a Kickstarter project from 2014.
The main chassis is laser cut mdf and contains two of the stepper motors.
Over time the press fit panels worked a bit loose so I added some tape too hold them together.
Any parts that wouldn't need disassembling at some point were glued together.
Cable management was a bit tidier but I needed to undo it to move the printer out of the way.
It actually produced some ok results over the years but did need a few printed upgrade parts to improve it and to be run quire slowly.
A cover for the power supply and control board was supposed to be part of the original kickstarter but I never received one and I don't think anyone else did either.
Re: New printer arrived
I run 2 cr1o minis ( although not small)
Over the last three years have done some upgrades
printer A : marlin software, BMG clone drive and pukka capricorn tube and all metal hot end.. runs faultless.
Printer B: Ender software as installed at new, standard extruder drive, capricorn tube, metal hot end. runs great but now and the has filament issues (strip filament on driver cog.. ) But this could be down to crap chian ebay filamnet more than anything.
Mainly run 3Djake pla through them .. just the eco 1.75 in matt mostly ( I like the finish.
