The Cobbaton Thread

Post by wibblywobbly »

A quick and dirty set of pics from Cobbaton. Sorry about the blurred images at the bottom, they were taken in the dark! A couple of vids to follow when I have uploaded them to You Tube. Forgebear almost sold out of his stock, and quite amazingly an entire Jagdpanther was built from his parts pile in a few hours, and was up and running, a Bandai Panzer was built too, the workshop was busy all day with people repairing tanks, making things work, and sorting out technical problems.

Doubtless there will be more pics and news when the others get home, I could only stay for Saturday.  :-[

A cracking good day was had by one and all, shame the weather was not up to much, but a few battles did happen along with the biggest build jobs, and repairs in one day i have ever seen.
Would like to thank my fellow tankers for helping me out moving my staurt as i was not up to much , having drop tested my self a few days ago.
The hive of activity had to been seen to be belived, and the selection of tools that appeared was just like beening in a workshop!
Here,s my few pics and no doubt that this tread will go on for a few weeks...................

Unfortunately the tanks are packed in so tight I couldn't stand far enough back to get the shots I wanted. Wait a couple of days and I have no doubt that someone will have the pic that you are looking for.

I second what Fleshy said, the tools that appeared out of nowhere were amazing. Can you believe that Ex-Pat was making his own IR baffles for his Elmod using an electric drill, a double bladed holesaw, a compass cutter, and sheets of styrene? No matter what anyone needed, someone had it. The parts bin that Forgebear brought along was being raided all day.
