Metal parts getting some primer. Made the mistake of sticking the metal vents to the tank before priming them. Should I spray the whole tank over with red primer or brush paint the metal vents?
If I spray the whole tank would it make it more authentic when I weather it?ImageImage

I have been looking at the track links that hang on the side of the KT turret and I'm not happy with the side that will be facing out.
As you can see in the picture they have lots of holes and numbers printed on them.

What's the best way to resolve this? A sharp blade to get the numbers off and then fill the holes with putty and rub down?
Is there a tool that I can get for my Dremel that will make this process easier?

Or perhaps someone knows where to get some nice metal track links that I could use gun blue on to get them looking just right?

Another thing to watch on the track links is the open pins on the plastic & cheaper metal tracks.
Hung on the side of the turret they are quite easily noticed.
Best way to get the best of all worlds is to get a set of Taigen metal tracks for the tank, and ideally another set for spare links and turret spares that will do several tanks.
Or, file down the plastic links to remove all traces of the ejector pins marks & and other numbering, then paint.

Getting one set of metal tracks is expensive enough! Not ready to get a set for the KT until the standard ones break or I get some spare cash

Picture sent from a supplier of the metal links available.
They still seem to have the circles on them from the moulds probably.

Anyone have any ideas?Image

Ejector pin marks.
Still a thing that can be repaired easily.
The pins are fully closed which is the biggest win.
I'd go with these & do a bit of filing !

I don't understand what you mean about the pins?
