Ice,I would really like to see those pics. Like our USS.Constitution,HMS VICTORY IS ONE OF A KIND,and our only link to a past history that required so much of so many men, these guy's were the hero's of their time. And the decline of the royal navy is truly a tragedy.Jutland being the height of power and the tragedy of the end of an age we will never see again.Blake

AFAIK HMS Victory is still a ship of the line! As well as visiting Portsmouth, it might be worthwhile to visit the dockyard at Chatham where HMS Victory was built. They have an interesting tour of the buildings down there, as well as a fascinating (and functioning) ropery.

;0)
HL Tiger x2 (one that didn't bounce very well!), HL Pz III x2 (one non-smoker); HL Stug III; HL PzIV and want an HL Jagdpanther.

In one version of Oliver twist he is put to work at the navel ropery pulling oakum from old rope,What an age it must of been,so many served in the Royal Navy.Young and old.Even now in my country you can fight and die a 17,but you can't buy a beer until your 21.that just isn't right.sax
