One of the most sobering encounters I ever had was when while slightly under the influence of a quality brandy I slid down the steep concrete side of a monsoon drain, 3 metres deep and no steps.
I was prepared to settle down and wait for a passerby to come to my rescue when i heard in the distance a dry rattling noise, No not a rattlesnake, plenty of other snakes in Malaysia but no rattle snakes ,
This was the sound of the tail bashing against the side of the monsoon drain of a rapidly approaching monitor lizard which can be nearly 2 metres long and are vicious in the extreme with a mouth full of poisonous microbes and very sharp teeth,
Somehow with just sheer terror to accompany me I was up the side of that drain and stone cold sober.
Its not all muck and bullets in the service you know :haha: :haha:
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Shame to waste a good brandy buzz (pun intended)! Those bacteria filled lizards are nasty. Your experience gives me the jitters.
We’ve got these pesky Timber Rattlers near our house. Snakes have been really thick around here this season.

Is it still there? I'll come right over and try to pet it! :wtf: Oh wait, I tried that once and I felt funny for 3 weeks! Seems they don't like that?!

Cheers,
Eric.

You’re a lucky man. Could’ve been a much worse ending. Hopefully your pups won’t have any wicked encounters!
