He's on the ForgebearTanks Facebook page that reported he got his Cromwell. He has some pics and a video of it running, but it's not the greatest video.

Re: Cromwell from Hooben
Saw the photos & not sure why but something looks off. Perhaps its the lighting or heavy paint job but but some of the details don't look right. Figure the missing hub caps are somewhere in the bottom of the box.
I posted earlier since I hadn't seen any indication of shipping locally but doubt there is much interest here in China for the subject - British tanks don't appear to be sexy to them, Challenger 2 being the exception.
Would like to see some close up shots of the suspension & more details but can wait. Am sure to see one at HEC in 2 months.

Re: Cromwell from Hooben
Hi,
received the Cromwell today.
Ordered at 16. June - then nothing happened
yesterday tracking information was online - delivery date 05 July
Today the doorbell rang, the Fedex man was there with a large package...
The hull is made of sheet metal
and the gearbox are the same as in the T-55 - steel gears and ball bearings - ratio is 52: 1
the upper hull ist mounted by six hexagonal studs - those are all metal parts..
The model is built entirely from 3d-printed parts.
Most of the parts are manufactured by resin 3d printing process a few parts were created using FDM printing.
The resin parts are very fragile, especially the parts of the suspension.
Therefore i recommend this model is not for beginners.
The VCU is like a Taigen V3 - it is notchy and sluggish to steer...
Smoker, light and volume can be switched from the transmitter
When the shot is fired, a servo is responsible for the barrel retraction and the absolutely useless track recoil is also available too.
The tank is painted in typical british green and the color stinks!
Really, the color stinks like a burned down house...this is also the first thing you smell when the box is opened.
the quality is exactly as you know it from hooben
one loved or one hated it ..
I will not make a recommendation.

Re: Cromwell from Hooben
What I had expected exactly same as the Hetzer. At least it wasn't painted dunkeldgrau.

Re: Cromwell from Hooben
Mine showed up in less than two weeks, but with a broken idler arm. dgselkirk's 1/10 Hetzer showed up with a broken idler arm as well. Lesson not learned from them. The Cromwell was packed exceptionally well so I have to assume it is the material/parts design. Sent a picture to support and heard nothing, but meanwhile I have superglued it and re-enforced with brass strip so hopefully it will holdup until I can get something more permanent.
I have already converted mine to an IBU2U with Cromwell sound. The Hooben electronics is not terrible, the IR apple looks impressive, like a Heng Long one jacked up.
