Hi

Post by Juggmeister »

I had a couple of Heng Long tanks years ago and during lockdown I tidied the garage and found the Pershing. I managed to get the Pershing going again with a secondhand clark TK22 board from ebay. So that little project re kindled my interest in RC tanks. Scroll forward to last weekend, I was taking rubbish to the dump and sat on the recycling table was a full metal mato Tiger 1 which I bought off the tip guys for £25! Have got it going but I want to improve the functionality a bit. I have been hovering around the forums for a while getting info and I thought it was about time I actually joined.

Hi and welcome.
Great find at the tip.
Looking forward to seeing it up and running / upgraded.
I’m very much a newbie in RC, but have a King Tiger on order.

Hello JM,

Some people have all the luck! :D Never had a run to the dump that ever amounted to me bringing something home, but I know plenty of people who have found "treasure" there! Good to have you with us! Post some pics when you get a chance, I'd love to see what a trashy Tiger 1 looks like!

Cheers,
Eric.

Wish we had a local tip like yours :D . ;D
Someone must have had a nervous breakdown to dump that all-metal Mato Tiger 1 there :O Unless...of course, it was a peeved partner exacting some form of secret revenge :problem: :shh:

"a full metal mato Tiger 1 which I bought off the tip guys for £25!" Grrrreat! Full metal Mato tanks can drive one  but at that price, you can afford a lot of repairs and improvement and have fun-fun-fun!

"Someone must have had a nervous breakdown to dump that all-metal Mato Tiger 1...unless it was a peeved partner." Both are possible. Then, too, see above.
