With those tracks, it sure looks a leaner and meaner killing machine

Got to admit, I love those tracks, I have several sets.
They are like putting wide tyres on a car

Thanks Mr Painter ! great to see you back mate, & I appreciate the kudos.palepainter wrote:Wow! I just got through this entire build. Fantastic build. Love every bit of it.
It was a fun build to do with no boundary to what was right.
By your timely reminder, I have gone back over my old thread builds, and realised there are a few that remain unfinished properly.
I shall get to those before carrying on with my 152 build. Including this one.

As these tracks have changed the date this machine could have been active in, I've looked around for a new theatre of operations for it to fit into ! Just need to give it some form of context rather than just "the tracks just look cool "

Still a Grossdeutschland machine, but now its from the battle described in the link.
I assume they meant JS 2 tanks not 3's by the way.
Sorry to surface a "submarine" but its been bugging me

very beautiful building, the stug was a beautiful and successful machine with a low silhouette, your machine went through a fight and it listens to him a lot ... congratulations to him

Don't you mean, "sorry for necro-posting" lolHERMAN BIX wrote:Sorry to surface a "submarine" but its been bugging me
But on the other hand, you did say you were going to find a unit/period to fit the new track addition. Glad you could finally ease your mind

Yep, mind now at ease..................
An unexpected historical side note was finding this record(and others) of the combat in this area at the time.
Was a hell of a scrap by all accounts & very much a credit to the German units to put up as much of a fight as they did with what they had.
I shall now allow the "ballast tanks" to refill..............
