Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
I am a patriot, Everyday I see what MR.Reagan did for this country destroyed. These socialist liberal nuts are running this country in the ground,we as a group of european-americans have been involved in forcing USA Today to retract over 25 Articles demonizing conservatives and making excuses based on race, for repeated civil rights violations against european-americans.Never in the history of the passage of the civil right amendment has a minority be charged with violating the rights of a european-american.How is that possible, answer liberal policies of race.As long as they keep American fighting over the scraps this country will continue to slide further into socialism.I have fought the good fight all my life, and have seen the liberals gain power through their tactics of division.Remember AL GORE WAS A Tennessee politician, and his home state has never supported this criminal, here is my unanswered question to mister Gore. From 1850-1950 the predominate fuel was coal, why did we not have global warming during this period?1'000'000 tons daily burning world wide and yet their was no increase in global warming, nor did the ice caps melt.Enough,I am getting upset over this and have said enough.Sax

Isnt the idea with monitoring these anti social families to force them into educating their children and bring them up into functioning members of society? The current laws dont seem to be having that effect, ASBO's are a badge of honour and these dodgy parents dont seem to think its their responsibility. I was brought up to know right from wrong and admit and accept the consequences of my actions. We're not talking about camera's in every home. If these thick idiots need 24hr surveillance to make them behave, i dont have a problem with it.
Sax - I kind-of get where you're coming from. I've always thought being a politician shouldn't be a desirable position with power and wealth. It should be a compulsory civic duty thats viewed as a pain in the arse (a bit like jury service) so everyone has a go and understands the situation from both sides. Obviously thats unworkable and definately wouldnt work with these numpties that spend all day on their backside, drinking their unemployment benefits, watching Jerry Springer and letting their kids run riot.

Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
I agree something needs to be done about these benefit scrounging layabouts, but putting cameras into even a single home sets a dangerous precedent. Just like the current anti-terror laws, 24-hour surveillance will be abused and twisted to suit various organisations needs. Its the beginning of a police state, and can only escalate. Our civil liberties have been wiped away enough already. Were the most watched nation on earth, soon to have trackable ID cards to monitor everything else CCTV can pick up. If you open the floodgates for things like cameras in the home, they'll be no going back.
The sad thing is, we let this happen. We let our government become so politically correct, it thinks its bad to tell scroungers to get jobs. We let them take control of every aspect of our lives, and take away our rights without even a fight.

Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
i think that this conversation is getting to be too personal and will end up in people falling out!
i too have my own opinions that others may find offensive but i choose not to voice them on an open forum where everyone gets on because of a mutual interest in rc tanking, for example i happen to be on benefits myself does that make me a "scrounging layabout" or would i be the exception to the rule or perhaps i have a reason why i cannot work or even many reasons? i agree that there are a lot of people that could be working and arent but putting everyone on benefits in one category is highly offensive to me.
so if everyone agrees could we keep all the offending comments under wraps and try to keep things civil.

I agree, this is becoming to personal for our own good, swathdiver has the point well made that to mouth off and then do nothing is not being a good citizen,we must continue to challenge those who would socialize our country, but this forum is for a different purpose and I regret sounding off,no this I love my country, and I respect my government as long as it respects me.Now let's get back to some unanswered questions,Did a JAGDPANTHER have the same size road wheels as a TIGER VI? DID A PANTHER HAVE THE SAME SIZE WHEELS AS A TIGER VI?

President Obama is attempting to force Americans onto a health care plan that he and Congress will not submit themselves or family to.
Americans cherish Liberty! We do not want a government official getting between us and our doctor. We do not want some twisted eugenicist deciding who lives and dies. Obama said himself that a 100 year old grand-mother would not get the pacemaker she needed, she would be given pain pills(ailing hearts don't need pain pills btw!) and sent home because the cost to the government outweighs the benefits of her life. That’s pure evil. That woman is 105 today. Who is Obama to decide whether she lives or dies?
What has Socialized medicine contributed to the medical science since its inception? The 18% or 47 million figure is false. Anyone can walk into a hospital emergency room and get treated for even a cold. I reject the premise that medicine for profit is morally inferior to a government run system. Consider this, NHS must attempt to stay within budget based on tax receipts collected. That means they must ration and restrict access to medicine in order to control costs. That means the government decides who lives and dies based on MONEY! That's immoral wouldn't you agree? In America, it's none of their business! The Statists have no Constitutional authority to do this to us.
Government intervention has resulted in higher costs and restricted choices. Get the government out of the way, allow us to pay our way and prices will dramatically drop. Capitalism and Liberty at work!
Your healthcare is not free; you pay for it through higher taxes. I have heard that a man in England is eligible for his first colonoscopy at 75. Is this true? How long would you have to wait? I could get an MRI, X-Rays, Blood work and a colonoscopy by Tuesday if I wanted to. Same for a teeth cleaning.
I’ve read and studied the Koran. It’s a political movement with the same goal as communism. Conquer the world and destroy the unbelievers. A bad follower of Islam is one who will not try to convert, oppress and ultimately kill the infidels. Islam stopped contributing to mankind about 700 years ago.
I too was an atheist for most of my life. Americans believe that our rights are inalienable, they come from our creator. They cannot be taken away by man. Atheism, National Socialism, Communism, etc. believe that rights are granted and taken away by man. They believe in the supremacy of the State, the government. How enduring are such societies?
The tenants of socialism are utopian. A dream. Its true goal is the dominance and control by the few over the masses, the establishment of an oligarchy. Jews and Christians know that man is not perfect but by following the book everyone can have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I don’t know if the mods would entertain a discussion between you and me over Christianity and Atheism on this forum. If not, I’d be happy to introduce you to Christ via e-mail, swathdiver@yahoo.com

Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
It is getting a bit heated, lol. I didnt want to imply that everyone on benefits is a scrounger. I ment the people who refuse to work because they dont want to, or are claiming incapacity benefit when' sthere's nothing wrong with them, like that woman who gave birth to 13 kids, to have them all taken away, but thats another debate. I know there a lot of people who've been made redundant and are claiming because there's no work, and I have no problem with that at all. Its part of our national rights.
So if my comments offended you happytanker or anyone else, please know it wasn't aimed to come out like that.
Cheers,
Rik
James, I wont get into a debate about religion, on a post about something else, on a tanking forum. You have you beliefs and I respect that, I have mine, and wouldn't appreciate trying to be converted.
Im not going to debate this. I will say though, that the Koran, and the Bible share pretty much the same tennants, and include quite a lot of the same stories. Hell the Koran even mentions Jesus. The thing about the colonoscopy is untrue, if you need one, you'll get one. Im sure i'll pay far less for drugs if I need them, its about £7, regardless of how much I need. But then I have the option. If i wanted to go private I could. But for people who cant pay, we have free healthcare, to all levels.

Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
Well guys this started as a pretty simple post,we all love our country's and we all have opinions. We are getting into areas here where the outcome could well get out of hand though this may not have been the intention of any post. This forum is very free in the general sense of what is allowed to be posted here, and I think we all want this to apply. We would choose to not pull any post or have to lock them, but we also must think of the good of the forum.Lets let this come to a close now ---

I'm not upset nor offended Rik. This is a civil discussion as far as I'm concerned.
The Bible and Koran are wholly at opposites, For example, Christ does not advocate the killing of infidels or world domination.
Thanks for the info about the colonoscopy. Could you find out for me how many you can get in say 1 year? You see my grand-father died of colon cancer at 69. I would have been dead already had I not checked several years ago. America subsidizes the world's drugs. We pay more so you don't have to. Some of our families medicines are $30, many are $4 and some are free under our insurance and thanks to private companies like Wal-Mart.
Just now seeing BIGMIGs post, anyone may feel free to e-mail or PM me.

Re: Britain Monitoring Families Inside Their Homes
Rik, just to say dont worry about it i wasnt offended personally i was just using it as an example to try and bring all this to a close and act as a peacemaker if you like.
my point to everyone here is that if everyone could keep off subjects like religion and politics or at least the one-upmanship parts that are likely to cause resentment and bad feeling leading to arguement it would be better all round!
as i said before we all have different opinions on a lot of things but in certain cases it is best kept to ourselves yes?
