A Container full of tanks

That is a stunning offer. To be honest we could do what we used to do on the Hilux Surf forum. Set up a relay across the country. If parts were expensive to post we just figured out who could collect and who they could take them to. We delivered parts and accessories up and down the country virtually for free doing that. Eg I could pick up a few from say Michaelwood or Leigh Delamare, and someone else could collect from my house and so forth.

If we can figure out a distribution network, then all we need are accurate costs per tank including price, vat, customs, and postage etc. We also need someone to take on the finance management, and here is a suggestion. If Matt or his dad can organise something then we all pay a premium on the tanks, and the premium can go towards the forum costs, and events etc. Maybe even pay for an annual get together in a disused warehouse so that we can battle like our US cousins do on You Tube?

(It was only a suggestion Matt - 'get lost' is a perfectly reasonable response).

That are both awesome ideas! The chain could work, were all spread around the country enough. And we should definitely use the premium for a massive countrywide meet.  ;D Of course on condition everyone brings there nice shiny new Tamiya's!

kind offer from you NW explorer to deliver to services.. maybe some members picking up in person could take an extra one and post on to save one person having to do a lot of packing, posting etc..??
wish i could buy cheap some of the loads i carry ::)!! wont say who for (as i'd be sacked) but i drive an armoured arctic with 30mm thick glass, sometimes with police escort..

When ive picked up from the royal mint in south wales they just send me off on my own but its ok there is a tracker in the box.so no worries :-\

This sounds very promising guys but i was wondering, would it also be preferable to set up a bulk order on the radio gear/transmitters etc? Even better if we can get it from the same surplier. In the UK you're probably looking at another £150+ for a decent TX + batteries. They could end up costing more than the full option tanks!

Guy's we need to hit 72 Tanks to get a great deal.Two pallets drop shipped to the DHL HUB that was mentioned is the way to go.And someone would need to send us US guy's our tanks straight back via DHL,that part I can help with as my sister has been with DHL for 20+years and is here in MEMPHIS.Everything goes through MEMPHIS.Now understand the vendor will have the pallets sent to where you Guy's set up,and a DHL hub would probably save some money,although he said by ship is cheapest but longer wait.Now here his shipments come to LA then by truck to his warehouse,our deal would come to the UK,then DHL truck to hub from hub to club person,then to the members,But we have to have a person that can accept commercial shipment,I.E.sign contract to receive these goods.We could set up a specail cart at vendor where members pay via paypal so the money is secure.This would cost a little but it's the safest way and nobody has to carry the cash.Lets just get the new board up and running so we can start to build the list,Matt your the guy,without you this would not be possible,start the board and let's put this together. The idea of paying direct to vendor is the best way to go and with pay-pal you have some come back.

Lets get this going, it'll be great for our club. With all these tanks as well we'll have to have out 1st Annual 1/6IRAD Meet!
Maybe some of our parts suppliers will be interested in setting up some deals, we're all going to need a hell of a lot of upgrades!  ;D
