Hello All! Complete noob to tanks and tank warfare. Have you ever had an idea that just won't go away, that consumes you? That's what I have and I am SO grateful to have found this site! I will post in the forum about it, but for now, I'm really glad to have found this site.
Blue Thunder is in reference to my being a plumber, and of course the movie! Guess that kinda dates me. It sounds like it would make a cool tank name as well?
I'm really looking forward to learning from y'all, and hope I can use your expertise to guide me. I've learned to listen to mentors, apply what they teach you and not re invent the wheel(or in this case, tracks!)
So, thank you for adding me! And again, I look forward to your advice.
Greetings

Re: Greetings
Hello Mr. Thunder,
Greetings! Yup, you've found the best Forum out there! You'll probably do great with this hobby, plumber's seem to have a lot of patience by nature! One of the thing's I hate, and the air generally turns blue with me attempting any type of plumbing repair!
Also, one of the reasons I run a pretty much "plain Jane" tank (at least externally). No time, no patience, and no skills due to the first one!
Upon reflection, the air has turned blue many times over RC tank electronics too! Always liked the Blue Thunder movie, kind of a fan of Roy Scheider. I take it you may be in the States with your use of "y'all"?
At any rate, good to have you here!
Regards,
Eric.

Re: Greetings
Welcome, BT.
It's also handy having someone who's an expert on ballcocks, stop valves, and push-fit connectors on the board.
Yes, we can all pool our knowledge, so to speak, and benefit from it.
If you think Blue Thunder dates you, well, I used to see 'Hopalong Cassidy' and 'The Little Rascals' in our Saturday morning cinema/fleapit.
