Hallo comrades,

Post by trickymc1r »

It seems as with most things this has already become another obsession. Adding to my list of intrests.

All started during lockdown with my son who seemed interested in all thinks Tanks "aquarium" just like myself. (a real addiction for myself with two large marine aquariums). So after a few YouTube clicks later off my normal subscriptions we ended up in a rabbit hole of RC tanks. As an ex Tamiya 1/10 child fiddling and bashing around and ex services myself was not hard to bend my arm again.

Before I noticed we had orderer a tank from a referral ad.

So Now our living room is starting to turn into a parts workshop for tanks. Readying up for war with up grades and parts. Everyday is like a resupply day at the quartermaster department with our poor postman dragging his bag to our door.

Ordered so far

HL Tiger 1 early model plastic 6.0s (eBay) arrived
Taiged recoil and flash for it from forgebeark(great service) arrived. Hoping to get this all set up ready for his birthday 10th Feb it's hiding in the back room I'm just stuck on wiring it up still.

HL T34-85 plastic 7.0 (toucan) waiting
HL Köngtiger metal running gear 6.0s customised (toucan) waiting

Matoy all metal kit Sherman (toucan) waiting

HL top Hull jagdpanther (forge bear) arrived. Planing on using that for my first custom paint job of a Dazzel camoflage.

Matoy Panzer iii/strum metal tracks, idle and sprocket (toucan) arrived x2
Matoy top Hull metal Panzer iii (toucan) arrived
Matoy top Hull metal stug iii (toucan) arrived
Matoy bottom Hull Panzer iii/Stug iii (toucan) arrived
Matoy sherman meal IR turret (toucan) arrived.

Impact IR set x2 (Tank Legion) waiting
FS-i6S

And a load more cosmetic stuff.

I know I have alot of work ahead and looking forward to getting to know you all.

And just this evening as a cheap toy for my Sons birthday I ordered a JJRC Q60 and when his finnished bashing it around and bored I will updated it for the MT support fleet.

Wow, Mr. Tricky!

That was what I call Shopping!!   Are you single or does your Wife just not know....yet?! :problem: :wtf:

I'd be in very deep trouble and literally sleeping with our dogs! With that many projects you're bound to come up with questions and/or problems. This is the place to find all the answers, great inspiration, and loads of ideas from. Have a look around and welcome to the club!

Cheers,
Eric.

Well,

It seems the majority of things have arrived.

Some seem stuck in limbo at the fabulous "liege-linehaul" let's hope they arrive.

I must say I'm most impressed with the jjrc truck from an ebay buy. it's now arrived in 3 days inc p+p and taxes was 30 quid. In fact I orded another yesterday that will be adapted into a powered trailed as it works out cheaper than a WPL trailer. I worry that this could however end up in another endless upgrade path. Plus I already will have a spare front cab with the trailed conversion. This will become a nodded DAK Mercedes.

Having been asked my simple answer to one question. I'm a happy Singel father to me is best of both worlds however with lock down poses hard but you can't have your cake and eat it. But when the world opens up again "hide your daughters the soldiers are coming to town".

So I'm currently at the pre mobilisation stage.

Non RTR kit
Stug iii/panzer iii matoy all metal (waiting for 3-1 drive to arrive)
Sherman matoy all metal

The FLYSKY transmiter arrived.

Probably hook up to a HL set to see how they roll before deciding upon either Openpanzer, clark or the Ozboard thing.

RTR
Tiger I HL plastic version 6.0s(not fitted Taigen recoil kit yet) * my sons
Köng Tiger HL 6.0 metal upgrades customised by Toucan
T34-85 HL 7.0 Plastic version (in limbo at liege-linehaul)

I'm also going to fit the visaton speaker upgrades to all as I discover you can get all the parts needed very cheaply if you Source components seperatly and spend 5 mins soldering and setting up the buck converter. I planning on asking my brother to design a speaker box to have printed out.
