Hi. You can easily buy 24 wires slip ring on eBay for $ 18-25. This is enough to have a modern turret tank with all the upgrades ( servos, recoil and even IR receiver / transmitter ).
Of course, unless you are not afraid to solder a few required plugs needed to connect to the MFU.
The spare kits with pre-mounted connectors available on the market usually have 12 wires. Which doesn't even allow them to be mounted in the stock Heng Long Leopard 2A6 with 6.0 MFU. There you need a minimum of 13 wires, but in fact it should be no less than 15-18 so that you can add anything to the tower (e.g. FPV or an additional LED on the roof ... )

So, I ordered the Taigen version! Including an extra 5000mAh battery, some camo netting and a speaker update. Now the waiting starts.....

Meanwhile I'm overthinking the future upgrades. On top of my list are the TK80G2 (perhaps incl. a new FlySky transmitter/receiver) and the Mato Toys tracks. Given the fact that I really fancy the GBS function of the TK80 I think I'll go with that first.

Ian "Tankbear" is the supplier for the IBU boards.

"maxmekker" is the supplier for Clark boards.

Ok. I have been in contact with Maxmekker. Awaiting some pricing from him.
I think Clark boards are the only ones with vertical and horizontal gun stabilizing. But I'm lookin into IBU as well. And here I was after 47 years of modelling in 1/35 thinking I had seen it all. There's a whole new world for me in RC.

So today my Taigen Leopard 2a6 arrived. What a machine! This is a whole different kind of models than the 1:35 scale I'm used to.

The only disappointment so far is the fact that the gun barrel has to go fully up before it goes down (and vice versa). Not very realistic. I hope/think this will be fixed when the Clark parts arrive.

By the way, does anybody know where I can buy good and affordable wires and connectors in bulk (all kinds that one encounters on the HL and Taigen tanks)?
