yes the small black wire is the antenna, it is strange that the support of the old 27 Mhz antenna remains, it is to be removed, by pulling on it with pliers and a slight right-left rotation, then filling with body mastic, anyway it's out of place, so no regrets.

Thanks, I will remove the supplied antenna mount, I saw a good video on an American site where a modeller clamped a heavy pair of pliers to the antenna mount, turned the tank body upside down and then touched his soldering iron to the base of the antenna mount. The heat after a second or two was enough to loosen the antenna and it dropped straight out without damaging the body of the tank.

It worked really well, old mount came out clean, first layer of filler in, top off and sand down tonight
