RC Beetle / Käfer
Re: RC Beetle / Käfer
I think that looks great and the driver is in a very natural pose. Amazing that you’ve been able to hide all the electronics and wires.

Re: RC Beetle / Käfer
Well, this toy is almost ready for action. I hope it helps you as a guide for miniaturizing electronics in your toys.
Pictured is the chasis of the car, with almost everything you might need to see. I think it pretty self explanatory. Well, the info arrows help, lol.
It also needs the battery to be fitted (which will be next to the sound card and receiver, under the passangers rear seats) and the speaker which will be either over the servo mount or in the rear, I am undecided.
I also did a super quick rough and ugly video showing that everything I wanted to do, works! Once it is fully finished I will take better pics, do a propper video and write about it on my website.
I must say I am specially proud of being able to switch between short and long beam lights using the same bulb! It was easy to do (once you know the how to) I will make the diagrams and I will hang them as well. The interior light is very cool at night.
Oh! And the voices. Most of my tanks have bloodlust maniac voices and this time I wanted something different. I planned to record my own voice but finally I fitted some posh austro-hungarian baron voices which roughly translated say:
Let me pass, my friend, there I go!
Warning I am attacking!
That was not fair!
Laughs
Also I did my own motor sounds, but I think that deserves another tutorial entry on my website.

Most excellent! Perfect timing as I'm just beginning to program my Kubelwagen's electronics and radio settings.
