Tiger Idler Help Needed!

Post by Ern »

OK, I got a base coat on the Asiatam hull and the wheels mounted, but can someone please tell me what to do with the rear idler!  >:( I don't know if I have the wrong axels for these things, but they seem way to long and I don't see how they can be snugged up.  The pic shows one axel in the tensioner as far as it will go, and the other is in half of the idler showing how much sticks out.  On my other Tiger I left the plastic idler in so this is a first for me.  Do I have the brass bushing in the right place?  I guess they are pretty basic, but I wish these things came with directions!!

Scrap the asiatam axles and tap the control arms and idler arm to m3 or 6/32 thread.Screw into arms until wheels are stable cut off extra thread protruding out the back side, screw down set screw, and enjoy driving tank.Received my hull in Feb.this year and have not had any tracking problems,I do have both sets of axles from asiatam. The set screw just did not hold the axles solid enough for ruff driving.Tap slowly or you will brake stuff, just a little humor.Saxondog
