Re: tamiya kt recoil
Aftermarket prototypical recoil systems for Tamiya run from US$80 and up. Eto has one for roughly $80, will be on sight in two days or so. Comes complete and ready to install with instructions. Gives prototypical recoil on firing, and slow return to battery. Return to battery speed is adjustable.

Hi happytanker,
You can do a home made mod, Glory71 did a superb one on hid Jagdpanther which uses the same gearbox as the KT, shown here;

I also did one to my Tiger with a lot of help from Tailend Charlie, shown here;

That should save you a fair bit, all you'll need is a couple of springs, I got a 2 pack of one similar to the elevation srings from here;

Hope this helps,
Rik

Re: tamiya kt recoil
cheers sevoblast but still a bit pricey at the mo! tankzone have one for around £50 something but after looking at it a bit closer it all seems a bit much for what is essentially an extra spring and cog! :-\ :-\ :-\
hi rik, that was more or less what i had in mind!!!
a bit of DIY!

most helpful cheers, vince.

I have to recomend wecohe's recoil upgrade, it is brilliant! You can regulate the speed of the return movement, yep you can make it look in scale and correct. I use this upgrade myselfe
