I’ve mellowed a bit now having been away from Yorkshire for some time. Years ago I’d have made that video call a reverse charge. Yeah, I thought about the cheeks part hence the partial covering (I’m not that brave). I can’t seem to stop looking at r/c tanks on e-bay, is there a r/c tanks anonymous I can call ??.

Yes, try the vendors list, they are all highly qualified to help at those times of need, and they all specialise in offering the utmost care and attention when the urge to spend gets unbearable, they can lift a surprising amount of "weight" from ones constricting money clip

Let's just hope, it gives the trouble and strife the dose of good cheer (but not cheeks) she undoubtedly deserves. :D
Oh my! Thanks for the descriptive visual that's now seared into my brain! Sleep will not come easy tonight! Les, you're going to fit right in here! PALATE CLEANSER PLEASE!

Cheers,
Eric.

Yes, me too as unfortunately I have a very vivid imagination, THANK’S EAO.It doesn’t sound as bad as ‘freckles’ though, or the dance of the ‘flaming xxxxxxxxx’ (you’ll either recognise them or they’ll mean absolutely nothing to you). I liked Germany by the way but only experienced the beer and the girls, usually in that order. Watch this space I MIGHT be about to pick up a tank bargain (and empty the last of my savings). I’ll let you know if it pans out.

You're right, I have no idea what you're talking about. I think I can imagine though!

Will do! I'm itching to unload some money that I don't really have on another tank. We'll see, it would indeed incur the wrath of my Wife so I'll have to really think about it! :shh:

Regards,
Eric.

Well, my savings depleting “bargain” has just been delivered. It’s a brand new mato all metal Sherman. All the turret/hull hatches and engine grills open and it’s generally very well detailed. It even comes in an aluminium (aluminum if you’re from across the water) trunk. I got it on e-bay for £400 and have been putting it through it’s paces for a while now and it all checks out. I read about the problems some people have had with the tracks but that was some time ago so I’m hoping that’s been ironed out. It won’t be getting a lot of use anyway as I got it for it’s detail and bare metal so I can paint it myself. I’m gonna mod it to a firefly by replacing the barrel and adding a radio to the rear of the turret. I know it needs more than that to be a “true” firefly but it’ll be close enough for me ( a “field” mod).Image

Les,

I do like the looks of that Sherman. Nice detail with all the hatches and grills opening up. Looks pretty cool in just it's bare metal finish too! Have fun with it!

Eric.

The crazy part is it was exactly what I was wanting but couldn’t afford it here. So I was trying to buy it direct from the far east and was awaiting a quote on price and postage. Then I saw the advert on e-bay In the catagory “new adverts” in 1/16 tanks and after re-reading it several times to make sure of what I was reading virtually bit their hand off. Things don’t normally go that way so a big thank you to the big guy upstairs eh.
