Bergepanzer III

Picking up a HL Pz III with no electronics etc with the intention of converting it to a Bergepanzer III so I can tow around a couple of my static tanks.
Current thoughts on bits to upgrade:

Motors & gear boxes
Metal tracks and drive

Was wondering if the Taigen or Mato track tensioners can be adapted.

Control wise I have a Viper tank mixer and was just going to use a couple of QuickRun ESC and a FlySky 6 channel.

Probably end up with a working winch etc

Thoughts anyone?

Sounds like an excellent project. One of our regular build Maestros (Imcq11) recently installed a working winch in this project- it might give you a few ideas:

A good tip, Günther!. However, that seller doesn't send stuff to Great Britain- assuming, that is, Z750J is YK based.

Not an issue - I was going to scratch build anyway. The most difficult bit will be working out all the tow cable’s, bars, and blocks so they work. RC sail boat blocks/pulleys is what I was thinking but they have stupid yachty type names so finding stuff is proving tedious
