The UK will soon be in the same situation, the £ is almost equal to the euro now. Just been buying some bits.

I believe it was nine years ago when I went to the south coast of Portugal, when the pound and the euro was virtually 1:1, so, nothing new with fluctuating currencies, sadly the covid 19 situation hasn't helped matters, and as the pound is only supported by a small territory rather than a larger block for the euro, Britain isn't doing too badly, even if Britain dropped one place down to being the sixth largest economy in the world from the fifth wouldn't be too shabby.ronnie42 wrote:The UK will soon be in the same situation, the £ is almost equal to the euro now.
