Hello

Post by Martyn837 »

My name is Martyn, I live in Fareham in the UK.
I’ve been in to modelling (mainly trains) for most of my life, about 8 years ago my wife brought me a Heng Long tiger 1 tank which was fun running standard for awhile then life got in the way and the tank was put away... Moving to 2020 and now retired and have more time I decided to bring the Tiger out and spend some time upgrading it...

Thanks

Martyn

Hello again Martyn :D there are plenty of members here that use the Clark boards so I'm sure someone will be able to help you out regarding your question. We do also have a resident specialist in the Clark products, he is in the vendor section and goes by the name of maxmekker

Cheers, Lee.

Welcome back, Martyn  I guess, living in Fareham, you're not all that far away from the Tank Museum at Bovington. A visit there will certainly boost the enthusiasm for the hobby (possibly to obsessive levels :lolno: ). When, that is, the Covid plague allows you to go there.

The museum is open, you just need to pre-book so that they can control the numbers

Unfortunately I’m in the high risk group, and the wife really doesn’t like me taking the risk...

Hello and welcome Martyn,

Can't say enough about this group of guys! Great place to belong to, tons of talent and help available for newbies or the hard core experienced RC tankers too. I really envy you guys who are close to Bovington. I'd give one of my testes to be able to visit that place! Probably the right one.... I think?!

Alright, don't take that the wrong way! And don't get scared off! There's a bunch of jokers here and I'm just trying to keep up! I guess I'm probably just a product of my environment?! Seriously though, I doubt I'll ever be lucky enough to visit Bovington.

At any rate, welcome,
Eric.

Hello and welcome to the forum Martyn

I know you have been chatting about a Clark board for your Tiger, but I'm not sure if you realise you'll have to also get a controller, as the Heng Long controller you have, won't be compatible with the Clark board, especially not an 8 year old Heng Long.

Enjoy the forum and all the money it'll encourage you to hemorrhage :haha:

Drat, foiled again by a pithy retort from one of the true Master's on this forum!

Much there is that I must learn!

Darn it Mick !

Cheers,
Eric.
