Re: AFRICAN TIGERS
According to "Tigers on the Western Front" quoted by Oz it would be 34 Tiger's in Total from other sources including "Tigers in combat" this figure would be 36

Re: AFRICAN TIGERS
I believe the version you have is the steel wheeled version if so then Tunisia would be out leaving Normandy, Russia. Italy and the final battles in Gemany

Re: AFRICAN TIGERS
Thanks,Rivetcounter.I could use some help on the drive motors and speed controllers.Any info would be helpful as I don't have money to waste, then again who does these days.Matt nice Tiger, some years ago a nieghbor had a mountain lion as a pet which drove our dogs nuts.I'll stick with the smaller cats,in the smokey mountains here in Tennessee we have the large ones, and you don't want to meet one without a gun. Thanks again guy,s.Blake

Re: AFRICAN TIGERS
The 501st brought 20 Tigers to Tunisia, the 504th 11. The rest of the 504th stayed in Sicily and later transferred in 2 replacement Tigers slated for the 501st. Only 1 Tiger escaped Sicily, the 222 of the 504th which later broke down in the Calabria Mountains.
Tunisian Tigers of the 501st are of the initial production batch and VERY different from the Tamiya and Heng Long models. They are more closely represented by the 504s tanks though.
501 Tigers are my area of study. If you're building one I would be happy to assist. I'm not always able to get to the forum everyday right now, send me an e-mail instead.
