It's already going so far, the questions are asked
with a quick glance at the operating instructions would be answered...

Simples,
Politely but firmly Direct the Questioner to the Introduction Page and do NOT answer their Question until they have properly introduced themselves..It is important that when/if they do introduce themselves that we make a bit of a welcome for them as we do (Hopefully) for all new members of the Forum.

Hello to all,
I can see it both ways, but I lean more heavily towards a polite, informative intro. I'm older (53), but I was raised to be polite, be considerate, and never ask someone for something that you wouldn't want asked of you. We have lost much of the niceties over the years with people seemingly more concerned with themselves and what they want than to be respectful and give a few moments of their time to be courteous. Perhaps it's more of a generational thing?

I joined RCUniverse first but came here because of the dedicated Elmod forum and the main focus of just RC tanks. I joined both because I needed help almost immediately. That said, I would never just jump in without a proper intro and start expecting help from someone. I know most would overlook the slight and help the person anyway, probably just because of the love of this great hobby and the nicety of their hearts.

I've been up front with several members of this forum and asked politely for HUGE favors. They have all been granted. I can't say enough about the member's desire to help, their knowledge, and their dedication to this hobby. Remember "you will catch more flies with honey than vinegar". My Grandmother's favorite saying, on the flip side my Grandfather's fave saying was "Always give people a little piss with the sugar"! I do also think these crappy times aren't helping anything either. Being a business owner we see stressed out clients everyday. We've dealt with them for years and they've always been great but you can tell they're under great stress.

I don't know, no offense to anyone on here. Just my opinion and take on the matter.
