So far as I can see they do the following colours - Black, Brown, Khaki and Green https://www.halfords.com/search?q=camouflage+paint

One forum suggests that the khaki is a good substitute for Dunkelgelb

Are you saying they don't come out of the can together as a camouflage pattern but you have to buy separate cans ?
But isn't that what we already do ?
So just what is so special about this paint or is this just to give Halfords a plug

Big cans, low price? That's worth a mention. Of course, some people like to pay over the odds. You can't please everyone.

However, you only need one hand to operate a rattle can so you can complete a two colour scheme at the same time. If you are that good, of course??

I always use Simoniz Rattle Can Auto Red Oxide Primer

I swapped from Halfords to Simoniz as it was way tougher than the Halfords primer, which seemed to come off with the slightest knock,
but I've had a few cans where there doesn't appear to be any pigment in the can. Ever had that happen ?

I use a jigsaw to shake them, the it's definitely getting mixed well!

Now THAT I'd like to see, do you attach the can to a long blade?

It sounds to me like the paint has congealed from age and only the propellant is coming out. Have you checked the dates on the tins, I've had it happen to old cans of paint.

Do you guys know the Montana Gold series rattle cans? They offer varnishes, primers and various colors. The spray really well have good coverage, are more on the tough side, i.e. can be sanded. Only drawback there is no RAL numbering, so you have to try the best color for the task. But at 4.4€ per 400ml can they are really affordable. Especially the varnish and metal primers are fantastic.

I gave a look at what was available in the Montana range a few years back and at the time I felt it was too limited ,
I may well have another look to see if there is now a better range of colour's.
