Re: Heng Long Sherman - now in production
I had heard that they were going to produce different variants of the Sherman, for example the Firefly. Do you know if that is true ?
What is the variant that they are bringing out first ?
Cheers

"Speaking of releases, we have designed 16 versions of the Sherman including the different front covers, wheels, sprockets, M3 bogies, T54E1, T51 and T49 tracks with EECs, etc. At some point we’ll be releasing kits and accessories. The M4A3 with high and low bustle turrets, M4 Composite, M4 early, the M4A1 with direct vision slots, M3 Lee and Grant, M10, M36B1, M36B2, Jumbo, etc. All are ready to go depending on how well this one is received."

so if we all buy this one (the M4A1 76(w) ) they will do the other variants - SO START SHOPPING ALREADY!!
I bought the Osprey Panther vs Sherman Battle of the Bulge book last weekend just to find suitable paint jobs for this and the up coming Panther

its a little lightweight in terms of providing detailed unit markings and paint schemes for the period. Best to have a read thru before you buy and see if it has something specific that you need - In my case the 3 colour views of a Kampfgruppe Peiper Panther at La Gleize was exactly what I needed to paint the HL Panther that will accompany my sSSPzAbt 501 KingTiger
