There are several talented RC tankers in your state, but a couple of them are members at RCU only. I usually encourage all U.S. tankers to join RCU, and the ones I like I tell about this forum.

Here's my little all-plastic HL Sherman ready to go for a ride, and one of these days I will build an E8, just need the tamiya kit to get started.

If you haven't found them yet, a great source for parts is Imex in Florida. Imex is owned by a guy named Bill, but his right hand and main tank guy is Erik Edwards, an avid tanker and all around RC enthusiast, Erik really knows his stuff and provides some of the best customer service around. I just got a package from them yesterday with some new sound cards for my tanks that still run on V3 stock electronics. I'll be making a video later once I install the new sound card in the Tiger One Mid, and we'll finally get some side by side comparisons of the two main German sound cards from Taigen/Torro/Imex. If you stick with stock electronics you might want to get the proper card for your Sherman, and those have finally arrived and are ready to go. I just got a Sherman sound card myself, but I'll be using it in the M-26 Pershing.
I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your Sherman, have you given any thought to your next tank? In case no one has told you, these things are like Lay's Potato Chips, no one can eat just one.
Is your Sherman airsoft or IR? What are your plans for it? Any cool upgrades on the agenda? Gonna keep it stock or go for the aftermarket control board? When you get to the stowage part I can fix you up with jerry cans, crates and fuel drums, kind of a "Welcome Wagon" type thing I sometimes do for new guys, and it won't cost you a dime. But first I'll need to see photos of what you're doing with that M4.

So welcome to the Dark Side of RC, you're gonna love it.
