Hi from Colorado

Post by SkyArcher »

I’ve been dabbling in tanks for a long time. My first tank was the 1/6 M5 Stuart. I eventually gave it to my nephew But now I wish I still had it. My next tank was a German Tiger and that kept me busy for a while. I just acquired a Taigen Sherman that needs some work and I’m scanning these forums for some ideas on fixing it up.

Good evening,
Welcome to the Forum! I'm down in the Southern Rockies by the Spanish Peaks and San Juans. Pictures of your tanks when you get the chance. We love to chat and kick the virtual road wheels around here.
regards,
Painless

Hi, Welcome to the Forum
A Tiger` but here the mystery thickens :haha: Which one because Son of a Gunner, Oh for goodness sake , Mick has plans for your Tiger if it is a 1 but if it is a 2 then you are on your own :haha:
And as to the internal and external workings of the M4 Sherman and all its derivatives we seem to be overburdened with experts panting at the bit with helpful (And otherwise) advise to make your life easier,
Now Colorado, I am sure I have heard of it, Does it have a nice beach? umm, is it near America? Just joshing if Painless lives in that mountainous state it must be a pretty good place to live in.
Enjoy the Forum and we look forward to all your questions
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Welcome from the North West Highlands of Scotland! We have some of the oldest rocks on Earth here (and the ideal water for Whisky  ). This part of Scotland used to be attached to Newfoundland (or- ironically- Nova Scotia)- until they had an acrimonious divorce, and Newfoundland scampered off across the Atlantic to join you N.Americans :D It was quite a while ago, now... ;)
Greetings, and do show us a few pics of your Sherman, when you get the opportunity. Also, tell us what's amiss with it, and what you're hoping to do with it

Thanks for the welcome. The Sherman was sold “as is” and looked liked it was dropped. It had some broken wires and those were easily fixed. It also had some broken plastic parts and unfortunately the broken pieces were not included but the parts are available online, it’s just a matter of finding and replacing them. Next, I just need to find a nice picture and detail the Sherman to match.

Hello and welcome to the forum Mr SkyArcher

Don't feel too bad, I've given quite a bit of stuff to a nephew many years ago before I realised or found out their true value ;)

Which version of Taigen Sherman did you get? Was it the 105 or the 76? And what type of parts are you missing? I'm sure we would be able to help you locate those parts from known sources

Enjoy the forum.
