Hello!

Post by Valleyboy »

Hello from (not so) sunny South Wales!
New to the hobby, previously flew rc helicopters - decided tanks were safer and cheaper!

I have a Heng Long Challenger 2 version 6.
This has the adjustable return roller for track tension, and metal road wheel arms.

Already upgraded by custom painting in British Desert Yellow and weathering.
Updated with steel gearbox, red motors, metal drive and return wheels main shaft bearings.
Bit of trouble with return wheels with bearings as screws wont work. Had to purchase a second set with different diameter bearings.
Magnet mod carried out on hull, also fitted 360 degree turret.
Moved the battery into the main hull, so more room for larger batteries in future.
Still on plastic tracks at the moment.

Will have a few questions shortly regarding metal tracks (already purchased metal tracks with rubber pads) - dont fit at the moment!
And potential higher voltage batteries and any issues?

Cheers!

Welcome along, you’ll be buying your second soon lol
I’ve driven to Swansea from up north more times than I care to remember due to work, it got to the point where I’d make any excuse to get out of it lol
Cheers

Hello and welcome to the forum Mr Valleyboy
