Today saw a project lined up for the Office but I was still able to grab an hour to work on the Pz IV. I had sourced the right diameter corks to plug the eight screw holes on the Lower. Installation was simple, insert as far as the cork will go then then trim the excess off ( I use a Tamiya hobby saw ). Use a gel cement to harden the face of the cork plug. Follow this step up with primer and paint and once the weathering is done on the completed Tank, you should have a hard time locating those screw mounts.

Kind of slightly similar, without the turret, of course, built on the PIII chassis. This is the first 105mm German gun I've seen. I'll bet the two would look just great sitting side by side on your shelf.

Herman! Thank you for looking in. ;o) I know you are happy to be home and working on your own projects again! I am pleased with how well the short 75mm worked out. The short 75mm on the StuG III Ausf B seemed like it was a lot more work ( as I recall ) I like early War armor and this DAK Panzer IV is one I have wanted to build for years now. Soeren, I used to use rubber stoppers but the size required for those screw holes got vanishingly rare. The corks are a workable substitute. ;o) Gary! You are an evil man. ;o) If I do that, where will the future Elefant, Sturm Tiger, Big Barn KV-2 and Early Tiger sit??? ( Not to mention the M10 ;o)

Talk Tom into selling you his Elefant (that thing is a real Gem, makes me envious, in a good way, of course), that will be one less you have to build so you can build the Sturmhaubitze instead.
