Removing over 11,000 posts from the General ('Alpha') would have made a swiss cheese, or a series of puzzling non-sequiturs, of the threads he contributed to.
This is what the Archive would have looked like with the 'General''s legacy airbrushed out of existence...
Then again, when Photobucket began charging members for hosting their pics and, they- quite rightly- refused to comply, and thousands of invaluable pics were blanked off, which also had a significant impact on archived material. It all goes to show how careful we must all be with this resource...
When dear old Mick had the misfortune of having his considerable collection of comments, and oddities, sent into a parallel universe- numerous threads had members replying to non-existent comments, in consequence.
