It’s slow but it’s moving. I decided not to use the spare set I got with the mato hull and bought some mato henglong ones as a set with tracks and idlers

The final draft before paint for the lower hull, with the far from complete upper just to see how she looks with the wheels.

I’m happy with that

A little work on the upper. Engine door is in, 6 attempts to make the hinges. These will have to do I’m not making any more and the front hatches are being modified to take the periscope disc that doesn’t fit. Yet.

I was planning using the Sherman turret ones but I broke them putting them in so I have had to improvise and have had to use Pershing turret eyes, they are a little thicker but quite a bit tougher

Excellent work. Should look fantastic when painted. Isn't there supposed to be something for the gunner's optics? I'm not that up on Sherman's but I would think you still gotta aim that puppy, right?

There is supposed to be a sight just in front of the commanders hatch, in the usual spot, but as it’s easy to break it won’t be Put on untill the tank is finished and running,

Unless I can happen upon a metal one

But for the gunners sight I can drill that out untill I get my a2 back from my dad. He’s using it to design parts for my next build and for people at tank club that want to build an a2, and I would hope he’s doing the air intake ducts I need for this build and hasn’t got side tracked
