Re: Asiatam Gearboxes
I think more folks should consider the DKLM PDSGB units because you can swap the gearbox into your different tanks. Saves money and each of your tanks will enjoy a sweet gearbox/motor. All you need is to buy mounting plates and output shafts for each tank. It’s a simple process to swap. Check out their YouTube videos. Just a thought I’m throwing out there.

Re: Asiatam Gearboxes
Do the DKLM Gearboxes take up the same space as the original gearboxes or more or less,
Within reason it is unimportant in the Tiger 1 hull but In the limited space of the PZ111/4 it really does matter as does the hight.

Re: Asiatam Gearboxes
Mick do you plan to use these or simply experiment with them? I find the design very interesting, are they quiet when running? Keep us posted

Tanks alot....

Re: Asiatam Gearboxes
For big tanks like panther or tiger we in Poland build own gearboxes:
For example from my king tiger:

but it dont fitt to panzer 3 or 4

Mr Lo_Thar, as I haven't had the chance to power up these boxes yet, I'm assuming they should run quietly as Carl asked.
These boxes are meant to be 30 to one gear ratio, is that total or just for the planetary part?
Also, what stopped you swapping the motors around?

Re: Asiatam Gearboxes
Ah, thank you
Am I correct in thinking these gearboxes will be quiet compared to standard ones?
I think I'll give those involved in the above conversations a chance to see this before I split this topic. I'll put the posts into your other thread about these boxes.
