Tamiya Pershing Parts

Post by PershingLover »

Hey guys, I'm looking at Tamiya sprues for my HL Pershing.

Couple questions;

This barrel here - http://shop.aaftankmuseum.com/ProductDe ... de=3455582
Is it metal or plastic? Whole piece or halves? Hollow or solid?

This mantlet- https://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/kat ... -1-16.html
Can it be used over a Heng Long?

I am "almost" positive that the Pershing Barrel is a single turned aluminum parts.

As for the Mantel I have no idea.

I would hate to see you spend good money on new parts, if you can use some used ones for nothing. I have the barrel, muzzle brake, and most of the inner & outer mantlet that you're welcome to. The only thing I DON'T have for the mantlet is part number 20 on the link you showed, (that's the rectangular part inside the mantlet that the outer part rotates on). I'm sure that a little creativity will let you figure out something to make it work. But, they're yours if you want to see if they'll work for you. PM me a name & address and I'll get them out to you. -Mike

Just to say that I have also been a recipient of Pershing parts thanks to Mike’s generosity. He is as honest as the day is long and a true gentleman.

Good morning,
All I can say is that Mike is the Real Deal. Too many builds, some of mine included, would never have been finished without this man stepping in and helping out. He is a great Ambassador to the Hobby. ;o)
regards,
Painless
